Paid Time Off
We understand that team members need time off to refresh and attend to matters outside of work. RoyOMartin provides paid time off (PTO) benefits, including holidays, vacation, and personal days based upon team member eligibility.
RoyOMartin’s Health and Wellness program Winning With Wellness is about the 3 components of wellness: mind, body, and spirit. We offer services such as an Employee Assistance Program, Legacy Health and Wellness Clinic and On-Site Health Services, and Marketplace Chaplains.
We believe that all RoyOMartin team members should have access to quality healthcare. Team members and their covered dependents have access to Legacy Health & Wellness, our medical clinic in Alexandria, Louisiana, Legacy Pharmacy, and offers affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance through Blue Cross, Delta Dental, and VSP, respectively. Supplemental Insurance and FSA
Additional insurance offered to team members includes group life at no cost to the employee, optional supplemental coverage through AFLAC, short- and long-term disability, and a START tuition-savings plan. Through our benefits plan, we offer a pre-tax way for our employees to pay for medical and dependent care through our flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
Retirement and Matching
We care about your future. The RoyOMartin Retirement Plan (the “Plan”) is a profit-sharing and defined-contribution plan to which participants can make pre-tax and after-tax contributions. Company contributions are made to the Plan annually on behalf of eligible employees. Participants receive a guaranteed 100% match on up to 4% of their eligible pre-tax contributions. Profit-sharing contributions are made on a discretionary basis.
Employees living in Alexandria and Natchitoches are offered bus transportation to the Chopin, Louisiana, manufacturing facility for a minimal fee. This allows you to spend less on gas and more on the things you work hard for.
We believe that education is the key to success. The Martin Foundation supports workforce-development programs, scholarships for employees and their children, and financial assistance to local schools and public colleges. In 2019 alone, the Martin Foundation funded 115 scholarships to college students in Louisiana and Texas.
Pay for Knowledge and Skills (PKS)
The more you learn, the more you earn. Our Pay for Knowledge and Skills (PKS) program consists of custom, self-driven advancement plans for each of our manufacturing team members. Through learning different skills in a given work system, PKS participants can earn a higher wage through a defined system of cross-training.
Leadership is not just a title; it’s about influence. We equip organizational leaders with annual and ongoing training to hone their interpersonal and technical skills. RoyOMartin University is like college, except with more real-life application. Our internal leadership-development program combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training to teach participants a variety of hard and soft skills critical across our organization.

Women in Manufacturing
At RoyOMartin, we not only hire and empower women in manufacturing and supporting roles, we have an annual RoyOMartin Believes in Women in Manufacturing Day, celebrated each October in conjunction with the Manufacturing Institutes's Manufacturing Month.
Employee safety and wellbeing is RoyOMartin’s #1 priority. Through our “I Believe in Zero” (IBiZ) philosophy, we believe that all accidents can be prevented. Our team members are trained to work safely, from new-hire orientation through ongoing job-specific safety training, and each location has designated safety and occupational health professionals.
